Im not too happy with how sturdy this is. It seems to me that even if you torque the bolts down pretty well, the still flexes a bit, as far as the frame goes. I left it straight and even, and when I came in a few hours later, it looked crooked (You know how kids are, they were playing on their new beds).However for the price, you cant complain too much.
I had ordered this for my stepchildren 5 and 3yrs old. The only positive thing I can say is that delivery was earlier than expected however, the product was far from what was expected. The pipes were dented and the frame twisted. If the children even attempted to sleep on this Im afraid it would have collapsed on them. Didnt even bother finishing assembling this, just packed it back up and asked for a refund. Dorel has bad reviews for a reason. Please dont waste your time or put any loved ones in harms way for a nice price.Very disappointed with this purchase.
This vendor has been a very disappointing. This order was placed on August 28, 2012, the bed was delivered with missing parts (2 legs and post rails). I am still waiting for them, whats more they have not even shipped the parts yet.
I call them at least once a week, they are not able to tell me when they will be sending them to me. I am not able to return items because packaging was torn while opening. This is a deeply frustrating situation . they almost seem annoyed by my calls. Stay away from Dorel Home Products.
This item was definitely the largest in size that weve ever bought from ! It came in perfect condition in about 2 weeks from UPS, and its totally worth purchasing. It was easy and fast to assemble with all the hardware included. We like that the sides are tall enough for rambunctious kids playing on it, with the 6 inch foam mattress. Ive noticed one plastic piece from the centre rib alignment broke off, but doesnt affect the function of the bed whatsoever; I dont even think it would affect it if we took that rib alignment piece out all together (if all the plastic pieces broke). You could put a piece of ply on top of the ribs if you wanted for added support, so far were happy with it the way it is. The colour is a medium silver, not super shiny, its nice. Not a dark in some of the photos/ I would have been happy with either. If youre using a bed rail with it, a 2 separate leg under the mattress rail wont work, as itll go through the slats; I recommend a bed rail that is attached between the legs, or a pressure rail might work.

Bed is great for the price, not hard to assemble with two people and the matresses fit nicely. I have a 9 year old and 7 year old they love it!

Its strong able to suppoet me and the kids. The price is awsome. It take awhile to put it together but was not hard at all.

Solid and Easy to Assemble
