Great for the price! The only con about it was I think the top railings could be taller. I have an 8 inch mattress on the top and the railing is just a little above that. If using for a small child, you are gonna want to buy a thinner mattress.
The box the bed came in was almost 100 pounds. Definitely needed a second person to bring it in. The bed was simple to set up, just had to keep in mind that the screws shouldnt be tightened until all of the bed had been loosely assembled. Our boy loves it.
These work great for our young boys. I only gave 4 stars though because, even though it says the top bunk has a weight limit of 200 lbs, I feel like it has trouble holding me (at 120 lbs). The bars give quite a bit if I get on it. I dont think I would use it for teens or adults. Easy setup and sturdy!
I can confirm that this bed does have creaking noises.
You can reduce them quite a lot by the type of mattress you use (coil vs flat futon style). Just make sure do not go over the side support bars.
Other than that this is a good twin bed for the price. Assembly will vary in general but if there are two persons, without power tools, it took 3 hours me and my wife. Might be faster, if you are used to assembling these type of furniture.
The slats are not very strong, so I dont recommend any kind of jumping on these beds. But for the price paid and used exclusively for sleeping, this twin bed is a terrific buy. My kids love to sleep on this bed. Love this product. No issues.
