Ive bought this one for my father in law. And he absolutely loved it! Its thin and lightweight. I myself carried it upstairs for him. But Id recommend 2 people to move it to prevent potential injuries. And other pro tip. Read the front and back letter and identify where the top is, cut the box from top to bottom and leave the bottom with the foam on. I that it wont damage your flooring. Simple and easy to set up for the digital lock. Took me about 15 seconds. Now you own more than 4 rifle and 2 pistols. This may not work for you. As you can see in the picture. Rifles with large charging handle or accessories on it. It will only fit for 4 rather then it was made for 5. Also, if both pistol are sub compact to compact. You should be fine but if you have something like this or a full size frame pistol. It will only hold for one. Like the little lockable compartment box. I can store all my silencer paper work in it.
First of all if you are familiar with guns and gun safes, you will already understand that this is not a gun safe. Its a gun locker. If you want an actual gun safe that will keep most people from getting inside, you will spend many, many more times the cost of this locker. This item here is intended to keep dangerous/valuable items away from tiny grabby hands and smash and grab thieves. I believe it will do this job well. Ive looked at a lot of items like this online and this one was configured perfectly for my needs. Its surprisingly roomy inside and I can fit all my alleged firearms inside it with no issues. Even my hunting shotgun (allegedly) that has a 26 barrel. I just have to tilt it sightly. Youre not going to be storing a lot of boxed ammo inside but all my magines loaded up and some other valuables fit with room to spare. The hanging accessory holder on the door is really handy too. It was easy to install with deck screws through the carpet and into the wood underneath. Securing the back of it was more of an issue but not because of the item itself. The molding along the floor kept me from putting the locker right up and flush against the wall. Luckily I just so happened to have the worlds longest toggle bolt anchors and was still able to mount it to the drywall behind the locker and secure it well enough. The lock seems decently designed and the silent function is nice. Overall Im quite pleased with it.
This gun safe was purchased for some guns that we had inherited from a family member. It is the perfect size if you dont have too many larger guns. I think it fits 4 of the large guns and then has a shelf where to put the smaller hand guns. Even though this gun safe is light, if its fixed to the wall, it does the job.
A birthday present for my son, who lives in a smaller apartment, this safe was the perfect fit! Really sturdy locking mechanism along with many extras youd only find in much larger and heavier units. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a well made medium sized safe
The ammunition cabinet is very solid and sturdy. The workmanship is of excellent quality. I am satisfied that the equipment is much easier to access. Put the bullets in it to avoid the children at home touching it. It is very suitable for my equipment storage needs.
I love the safe so much that I bought two! I like how its not overly heavy but does the job. Its attractive, well made and packaged. Truly a great value!
I purchased this safe for ease of mind. I wasnt looking for anything heavy duty, more something for peace of mind. This is sturdy enough to act as a deterrent, yet light enough that I was able to maneuver it into place myself. Heavy enough that I know when full, nobody is going to walk off with it. I would recommend bolting it down, as it does have a slight wobble to it standing freely. For the price point Im very satisfied with the build quality. Already recommended to several friends.
