This is just what I needed simple and without a high back. Its very difficult to put together. Absolutely need two people. All the decorative slats must be put in also. Sides and backIf they were already in, assembling this would have been a breeze. Looks great when finished.
The bed is very sturdy and nice for a teenager. But the assembly leaves a lot to be desired. The slats just sit in slots and make for assembling the beams very difficult. They kept falling out and making the process start over. Assembly took about 1 1/2 hours more than needed for this alone. A few pieces of the wood had been scratch and the paint missing.
I wasn't sure this would meet my needs, but it is a beautiful addition to the guest room! Fairly easy to put together! I did it by myself in about 1 hour.
Do NOT follow the directions. The entire back rail system is an absolute joke-- it took me four times assembling it to give up and change my approach. Unless you have rubber bands to keep it together, the "spacers(which are just tiny pieces of foam and make no sense to include) cause the spindles to fall out. Maybe use glue? It was unnecessarily frustrating.
It's a cute bed when finished, but doesn't accommodate a box spring, only a single mattress. The white finish has kind of a "cribvibe, but it's still cute.
The bed looks nice and seems sturdy now that it's done, but was a bear to assemble. Nearly every single piece of the bed arrived un-assembled - down to each individual slat. It took 2 people about 2 hours of frustrated grumbling to assemble, and we had to abandon the directions to do it a more logical way mid-way through after the third time one section of slats all fell out. Not well-thought out assembly at all.
I have mixed reviews about this product. This looks nice, not very sturdy as expected for the price. It came with a few broken areas as you can see in the pic. I didn't return as I felt its not worth going through the pain to re-pack and return. Building is just okay compared to ikea products. It was really hard to keep the back slats in place while building rhe product.
Dont like the exposed bolts all over the bed. Also the slats in the back are not easy to keep in place during the assembly but doesnt make it impossible.

Only 4 stars because of assembly

Came out great! Sturdy and cute
Came out great! Sturdy and cute. I am not a handy man, im just a mom. But it took me about an hour and half to put everything together.
Plan for difficult assembly. Bring extra hands.

Cute but the instructions are frustrating

Great value.
Sturdy and attractive. Was tedious but not difficult to put together solo. My teen loves it. I recommend it.
