I got this daybed for my office and love it. My husband assembled it in an 45 minutes and I helped he just follow the diagram they sent and used the tool that they sent to screw everything together. I had my doubts when we were putting it together about being sturdy; but, when we where done we ended up with a very sturdy bed. Some advice: when you assemble the bottom long boards the ones holding the mattress, put on the one on the back first. We put the front one first and the back one wouldnt fit therefore, we had to take it off then put the back on then re screw the front one again.
Very nice, sturdy piece of furniture for the price. We bought it for my mom to use and she loves it. It doesnt look cheap and fits in nicely in her living room.
i was worried about durability since this was the cheapest one i could find but it seems to be holding up very well in my kids room. i love that it gives each child their own sleeping space (with trundle) and then opens the room up during the day for more play space.
Didnt take me long at all to put together. This bed is very good quality, very sturdy. The paint finish is very good and even, the holes all match up. Do yourself a favor though, get yourself a decent hex wrench with a handle on it - it will make all the difference in the world. As I am putting a foam mattress on it I will be making a bed board of 1/4 plywood to go over the slats.
For those new to assembling things like this: Dont try to assemble it while it is standing up. Get yourself a little wood glue and put a dab in each hole where the slats go on the side panel (dont use the foam stoppers), assemble it while it is lying on the floor. Do the same for the backboard. With the backboard lying on the floor fit one side panel on and screw the screws in. Then put the other side panel into place. Very carefully put the front bed rail in then fasten the screws on the side panel. Again, very carefully turn the bed where the backboard is on the floor and finish installing the front rail screws.
Put bed together and it really wasnt hard at all. All you need to do is read and follow instructions. Now the bed isnt an expensive bed so dont expect a $1,000 quality bed for this price. It is very sturdy I will say that but there were some minor chips in paint but nothing the average person looking at the bed will see. The only reason I saw them is because I put the bed together otherwise I wouldnt have a clue. The bed is for my two year old daughter and works great. It is a little higher than expected. She can climb out of bed on her own but harder for her to climb in alone but we put her to bed most of the time anyways. We also have her crib mattress on the floor at night in case she rolls out but for a week that we have had it she hasnt rolled out we put a pillow on that side and she seems to be doing fine with that.
Was fairly easy to assemble, and works well. Nice piece of furniture. My only difficulty was the spindles in the back. But I would recommend it to friends.
Very attractive looking nice finish on the wooden frame. All hardware parts are shrink packed labeled with the piece counts (which saves time shows attention to detail). I am used to assembling toys for my grand-kids especially pre-fabed furniture for my personal use, however the upper side back frame decor slats take more time attention than normal in assembly as you have to position them firmly keeping them firmly positioned while bolting the frame. The instruction sheets should be better clearer in explaining which parts could be be pre-assembled first. In order to complete the final assembly stage you should assemble sections prior to bolting. Much easier to ignore instructions analyze which is which after sorting ALL parts.. It pays to have someone offer some minor assistance holding a few parts during the assembly. The instructions did warn of the weight limit being 225 lbs. . so I ordered 3 Bear Claw brand mattress supports (increases weight limits greatly)which have really improved the ability of Santa Claus sleeping over without possibly breaking his neck falling thru the mattress slats (ho,ho,ho!). NOW that I have seemed to air out my installation concerns I must say that this daybed is BEAUTIFUL, STURDY, FUNCTIONAL making a nice furniture addition to our den. The installation results is definitely worth the effort.
Dont hesitate to purchase this daybed as you will not be sorry if you do!

We love the bed, very nice look, really solid.
Adult Daughter loves the bed. Its very very very solid. No issues assembling other than clean out the predrilled holes first.
