Let me start off by saying this is a great bed. It looks awesome, its sturdy, its undoubtedly safe and most importantly my 4 year old loves it! BUT it did take me and my handy woman of a mother 4 hours to put together in total. I know for a fact I could never have done it without her. The instructions could have been wayyyyyy clearer and you really have to take your time to evaluate each page because it is not labeled as it should be. We took a recommendation from another review to organize the screws before anything and I think that helped a lot. In the end though I would definitely say this is a 5 star bed with 1
star instructions. I would not recommend doing this alone but all in all I am very satisfied w my purchase.

I can sit underneath it, which is so nice and we have gained so much floor space. The bed does move when you climb in and out but we plan to anchor it to the wall and that will be eliminated. Love this and great price!!
I like this bed, its the perfect height for my 7 year old and its fairly easy to assemble, but Im not sure that its sturdy enough. We all know as moms that crawling up on a bunk bed to put on a sheet isnt fun, but its even worse when the stairs to walk up are very fragile, feels like they could break from slight pressure, and the same could be said for the guard rail on the bed. I know the guard rail is there to keep the child from rolling out of bed, but a young child is naturally going to want to hang from that piece like a jungle gym, thats what kids do. He mostly uses it to pull him self up on the bed from the slide part. I keep telling him to be extremely gentle on it because it has two small pieces of wood on either side holding it on that could snap off with minimal roughhousing. I dont like that about this product especially seeing as they dont have replacement pieces. Its a bit sketchy. When I imagine the old bunk beds I had as a kid, they were tough thick sturdy made and this really does not compare to that. I dont regret buying it, because he loves it, but there are pretty significant design flaws especially if you have very active children.
Got this for our 3.5 year old for Christmas to get her out of her her crib. She LOVE it! Super stir day and I like the high weight limit so we can lay in it with her. We also got a 6 mattress and it the perfect height so she still has the tail high enough to keep her from falling off. My only complaint is that the slide is pretty steep and has a weird ledge at the bottom so she just had to make sure to go down it right to now hit her little booty. Overall though we love it and she had 0 issues transitioning!
I watched some of the video reviews prior to opening the package. I was tempted to return it based on the 8 month pregnant womans review. The instructions are horrible and the pieces are poorly labeled but since my expectations were so low, I was extra careful in my inventory before starting the project. There were 5 screws that appeared to be missing from the instructions but those turned out not being needed anyway. I am an idiot and very impatient and I was able to build this thing in a few hours. I had one mistake where pieces 5 6 were swapped which caused a setback but overall a pretty easy project. The bed has options for the stairs on the right versus the left but thats not apparent and borderline confusing in the instructions. I would definitely recommend the product as long as they read this review. The bed looks great and feels sturdy.
Update: slight smell back after months of winter, may be dependent on weather/ humidity. Took off a star.
Update: Smell went away within about a week. Kids can stick reusable stickers on the slide. Its more wobbly than at first, likely need to tighten screws bc adults have been going up there quite a bit to read.
Update a few days later: there has been some sort of off-gasing smell that weve noticed, waiting to see if it will go away.
Original: This came early and everything was in PERFECT condition, very impressed!!! No chips out of the wood, marks, or anything. Very pristine condition!!! Going to be able to use this for a variety of different configurations. You can put mattress underneath for a bunkbed, or make the bottom into a fort, storage area, or reading nook.
Took a couple of hours to put together, the hardware can be a little confusing since it is labeled by a few numbers instead of letters. But the wood has excellent and easy-to-read number stickers on each piece. Instruction ok is pictures, and it is much like putting furniture together.
The ladder and slide go out a little farther than you might expect, so measure your space first. The great thing is that the slide and ladder and interchangeable and can be switched or removed if you rearrange things!
Younger children may have problems going down the slide, there is a little lip on the bottom of the slide that can be covered with a pillow if they bump their feet on it.
Pictures are shown with an old style about 8 mattress on it. Bottom mattress is a thicker one. 8 really is the safety , bc you will want the 5 of rail as they suggest.
We havent had any problems with the slats but might get a sheet of plywood or cardboard to put underneath if it becomes a problem. Using the cardboard it came in could be a temporary fix.
An adult can sit under this with no mattress underneath, but it will be difficult for an adult to sit underneath it with a mattress on the ground. You may be able to fit under the slide! Slide holds 100lbs, bed holds 400 lbs, so an adult can potentially climb/sleep on top if using the ladder.
Great setup! Really impressed!!! Just be sure your mattress is 8 or less and you have the space for it.
