Its a good looking TV stand with a cool looking and functional electric fireplace, but it is riddled with quality control issues. It came out of the box with scratches all over. Some of them are deep scratches that are notable on the exterior. This is not shipping damage as it is came very well covered with styrofoam. This is damage that was done at the factory. Also during assembly, one of the pieces of the joints broke as you can see in the last picture. The material is fragile, it was not being aggressively handled. I had to use gorilla glue for wood to fix this. Thats another thing, they provide you with a laughably small amount of glue for the job. I was about 1/8th of the way done with the sections that needed glue before I ran out and I wasnt using obscene amounts of it, just enough to ensure a good seal. Get glue in advanced. Lastly, the vinyl finish gives off a black dye. My hands got fairly dark during assembly handling the pieces. I would suggest wiping it down thoroughly, which is something they should have done before making its way to me, but that again goes back to quality issues. Overall, its a visually appealing stand hampered by obvious oversights.
Its a nice unit but unfortunately it trips my breaker after being on for a 1/2 hour so I can only turn on the fire effect and not the heater part. Im not sure how to make it work considering my living room has to be set up a certain way because of my sectional.
It was easy to put together; took me by myself about 2.5 hours. Its heavy and sturdy too.
As someone who works in manufacturing, I can tell you this piece of furniture was surprisingly well made for the price point.
The instructions are good enough, just make sure to pay attention to the orientation of parts during assembly. It is easy to view something upside down, Oops:X
I would definitely recommend having a helper for the larger versions, as it can be quite cumbersome to hold multiple heavy components at a time. I would also recommend clearing out a sizable work space, as there are MANY components and subasemblies.
The heater could be better, i.e. remote, temp control, etc., but for less than $300 bucks its hard to complain.
Big big plus on a bag of spare parts, missing one screw can ruin an assembly and its a very nice touch they include.
Cheers! .recommend
Made my husband put this together which was fairly quick. It did have a scratch on it, but I placed some of the color stickers to cover it up.
Looks great with our 70 .. the grey is a beautiful color .recommend
I just got this and it feels great, delivery was earlier than expected. Assembly was challenging time wise but instructions were clear and precise. Ur looks good. Lets see how long it will hold up. Great product. Hopefully Ill get the tv in the wall and I wont have to stress it too much with the weight. .recommend
I really love this wooden TV Stand. The espresso color looks really nice. It is very sturdy, and can hold up to a 65 inch TV. It only took my guy 1 hour to assemble, but might take an average person 2-3 hours. It is very heavy, about 75 lbs. I would recommend this item for the cost and quality. .recommend
