Be prepared to assemble! For youre money its decent! We are using it in our guest room but Im not super confident in putting two small adults on the top bed. The bed it veryyyy light weight and a little bit flimsy.
So far I like the bed, but it depends on the mattress you put on it. The bed creaks a little bit but I think if I put a board under the mattress it will probably take that away at least some. I love the style of the bed and works well in my room. The slats are very hard to put in and the instructions make it sound easier than it is. Other than that the assembly wasnt too bad.

The box was 60 of my body weight (75 lbs.) so it was a struggle to get it up the stairs on my own. The box is so tightly glued I finally had to get a butchers knife to pry it open. Make sure all the parts are accounted for. Its no sense of getting started only to find half way through you dont everything you need. Now, it gets easier because youre dealing with smaller, light parts instead of the heavy, cumbersome box.
So far so good, no dents, dings or scratches. There were no missing parts. Dive in and follow the directions. Minimize overwhelm by focusing on only one step at a time. Here is where I ran into trouble. I couldnt understand how the other lady held on to a headboard that was over 6 feet long, balanced it, lined up the holes, placed the screws in the holes and tightened them all by herself. Well, necessity is the mother of invention.
I took out my ironing board, balanced it under one end. I put in all the screws on both sides and went back and tightened them. If your ironing board doesnt adjust perfectly, get a thin book and place it under the headboard to balance it.
It took me 4 hours to put it together. I did it and I couldnt be prouder!! Give it a try ladies. You can do it!! The bed is very sturdy. I noticed a little rusting as shown in the pictures. That doesnt bother me. I like a little character because nothing in nature is perfect. I love it.
The trundle is flush with the upper bed. So, Im constantly banging my toes on the trundle. That is my only complaint.
I recommend this bed. Its a beautiful bed that was definitely worth the price. It will provide you with a space to entertain or provide rest for you, your family and friends.
The quality of the metal it is made from is extremely questionable. It was pretty easy to assemble, but the metal actually bends, when you tighten connecting screws. Too light for the bed.
