it will work great and last a long time

If assembled properly, it will work great and last a long time. Does not wobble or rock at all. Our son uses this when playing a double bass and it works great for him.

    Average quality

These stools are not the best quality, but the company provides good customer service. I weigh 160 lbs, and cracked one of the rungs by standing on it. That may sound like something one should expect, but I did this all the time on my old stool which I replaced this with (just because the old one had a cracked pleather seat, I didn't break it). The wood is just not that strong. The quality of the whole thing is average at best. As far as the customer service goes, they emailed me asking about the quality, and refunded me $10 for the bad rung. Not bad, but a hassle overall.

    Some assembly required.

Even though assembling this stool looks so very simple, I found it hard!. The screws they give for it require this dinky little allen key which makes it really tough. Also you cannot use your drill to do it. I wish they provided ordinary philips head screws so you could just screw them home with an electric drill instead of the grotty little allen key you have to use. Better get one of those seat cushions too as the stool is very hard on your butt.

    Good basic stool

Easy to put together and serves the purpose as required. Just a basic stool, nothing fancy, but product is attractive for what it is.

    Nice quality stool

Great price for a very solid wood stool with a nice finish. Easy to put together. Will use it for chores in my kitchen. Didn't put the wood plugs in yet, as suggested by another reviewer. When I do, I will probably use some wood glue.

    Short life

Ordered two years ago. Used one and the other as a spare. One went dead after one year, then the spare one lasted for another year.

does the job... for those tasks that used to require standing up.

    Decent value

One screw cracked the wood when I assembled it. I fixed it easily with some tooth picks and wood glue but I shouldnt have had to.
