This bed is the perfect height to get a bit of a loft-like feel without being too high. The bookcase and dresser under the bed are nice for extra storage. The desk is not very practical, though. It is essentially a square, so much deeper than needed and really not long enough to function like a traditional desk. Whatever chair is used for the desk will sit directly in front of the dresser inhibiting the use of the drawers. The dresser and bookcase are freestanding so can be moved elsewhere, but that defeats the purpose of trying to utilize the space.
Perfect for our 8 year old daughter. Much sturdier than we thought it would be. We wanted the desk to be separated from the bed. So using the slide rails that attached it to the underside on the bed and a few L brackets, I made legs for the desk! Worked out well.
Definitely wouldnt buy again, cheap made, within first week a drawer broke. Otherwise my 15 yr old daughter lovees it and it looks exactly like pictures
I bought this bed for my daughters 6th birthday. Was delivered on time in 4 separate boxes. Each box was labeled with which part of the bed it was (i.e. bed, dresser, shelf or desk). The directions were fairly simple to follow however putting it together requires 2 people. I was aware of this before beginning because other reviews has also mentioned it. Everything seems sturdy and my daughter lovees it. The only thing that could be improved would be the slats. Theyre further apart than I had hoped and not all the slats are fixed to the frame, which means the slats can be moved when pushed on from underneath. All in all, it was exactly what I was wanting for my daughter.
Drawers do not slide out easily. This was bought for my 8 year old and everytime she attemps to open a drawer she pulls the dresser across the floor (the floor now has scratches from the dresser). Husband and I are considering new slider mechs, but are irritated that we have to spend more $money$ to fix these that were purchased with the bed setup.
I have done a lot of research before ordering this bed. After reading all reviews and seeing images of finished product, I have decided to take a chance and get it. And I am glad that I did!!!
Upon arrival, we have discovered that somewhere in the transit hardware for bed itself fell out....which was not a big surprise considering in what state the box arrived in. I guess FRAGILE on the box doesnt mean much to delivery guys. Anyway, I have contacted the seller ( stores123 ) and explained what has happened. Within few days we have received replacement hardware and were able to put everything together. Bed is just the right size for my 3 year old and she lovees going up and down. Dresser doesnt look big, but has plenty of space for all her clothes. Book shelf holds all her books and there is still some room for her art supplies. She lovees playing in her private spot which is under the bed when the desk is pulled out....enough room for her and her toys
Overall, product has exceeded my expectations and Im very happy with my purchase. Well made product worth of every cent. And a special thank you to Amri from customer service for a quick resolution of our issue ))
loveed them the color is great it took a bit to assemble the first one. We purchase two one of each child the second was rather easy. lovee the storage and shelf I g is quite a bit to keep toys lovee the desk next to it and the fact that is retractable. My kids are still small 6 and 5 and they live the little hiding spot under the bed. I placed a pillow and a niche fluffy rug. Hope it lasts
Putting this bed together was a bit time consuming given theres not a single preassembled element (except for the mattress slats) but the manual with assembly steps was very clear, all parts/nails/screws present and clearly marked, and the overall quality of the materials was very good. Imagine a en set on steroids - tons of fun for people loving DIY projects.
The assembled bed is really nice. All parts fit perfectly, finished and painted with no noticed flaws. What we liked was that the book shelf and the chest of drawers are not integrated into the frame and can be placed somewhere else in the room for a complete bedroom look. If you prefer to have more compact layout just place them like in picture above.
Desk glides in and out smoothly, and we have a medium thick carpet, so the little wheels are coping.
The only little weak point we have noticed so far (after 1 week of use) is that the top step of the ladder started looking worn already with paint peeling off. Given that it will be the high use surface it might be necessary to enforce it with some sort of padding/tape.
All in all very happy with the purchase and price/quality ratio
I bought 4 sets of these, one for each of my kids. It cleared up a ton of play space in their rooms! Our upstairs ceilings are too low for a traditional loft bed, but these fit perfectly. My 3 year old even lovees hers!
