We really like this bed. Its sturdy enough, looks pretty decent, and holds our mattress just fine without any added slats or box spring. (We have a Luma All Latex mattress in case anyone is wondering. The additional weight of the latex vs memory foam isnt an issue at all.)
I withheld one star for 2 reasons:
- Some of the pieces came slightly scratched. Its not at all a deal breaker for me, but a brand new anything should look brand new.
- The bed comes with 1 piece of extra hardware per type. (So one extra of each bolt, nut, and washer). This seems like a nice thing to do, but for me, when youre done assembling something, you should be able to confirm that you did it correctly by seeing that youve used all the parts provided. Extra bolts just casts doubt for me. Its super petty, but thats my thing.
Overall, Id recommend this bed to anyone.
I purchased three of these and an extremely happy. The items were packed with loving care, individually wrapped to ensure that each piece arrived in top condition. I am 70 years old and was able to assemble the bed by myself with no trouble. When assembled the bed not only looks good, but is very solid. A great value for the money, easy to assemble, and very sturdy.
First of all, this is a very sturdy bed. However, the quality of the design is not so great. As you can see in the picture, the holes for attaching the headboard are not in the same location on both sides so when its put together there is a small gap making it look uneven at the top.
I contacted the sellers customer service and was told that they would be happy to help make it right. That was 17 days ago and two follow-up emails and I have not received a response.
Its a little tricky to put together just make sure to double check all your peices before putting together . Overall its a good bed frame, I love it a lot.
The five stars come with footnote for the money. Im sure you could get a more sturdy and easily assembled bed for $1000 but this fit our needs perfectly. And we bought king-sized and arent light people. The sturdiness is helped by the mattress cross bars (slats) being metal and slotted to lock into the frame. If you arent used to assembling furniture, a great tip is to not tighten the screws until after they are all loosely fitted and slats are locked in place. Also, beware the Allen wrench bolts - tough on the fingers to get them snug (I used my rock-climber son for this step). To the manufacturer- sure would be nice to fit a hex wrench on these!

Sturdy Bed, Bad Design
