We really liked this umbrella but a plastic piece inside the crank mechanism broke this year after only two uses. This renders the crank unusable. Not sure we can get a replacement part after this timing. trying to figure out how to work around using the crank. The umbrella itself is very nice.
Quality and durability as well as so easy to assemble and sturdy! We have had three very windy storms and both of our umbrellas withstood the STORMS!!! One word aming! I would highly recommend these umbrellas to everyone as well as they provide excellent shade!
This umbrella was great for our deck! Provides large area coverage and protection from the sun. However, it is not exactly the sturdiest or most durable item. One of the cross bars snapped off in less than a month while we were opening it up. It still provides shade, but the one side of the umbrella droops. I am hoping the company will work with me considering it is supposed to be under warranty, although I havent heard back.
I havent used this 15 patio umbrella much yet, but so far Im satisfied with the amount of shade it provides. The assembly instructions were easy to follow, and setting up the unit was fairly simple. It comes with a small wrench, but my own end wrench worked better. Filling the two sandbags takes time. I used 75 lbs of sand in each sandbag. Plastic parts for the base snap together quickly. One thing the instructions omitted is the pin that hangs on a small chain near the top of the pole. With the umbrella fully open, that pin goes through a pre/drilled hole in the pole to prevent the canopy from accidentally folding up.
I like the fact that the base doesnt have to be filled with sand/water but that the bags sit on top of the base. If I want to move it at some point, it wont be a big deal. I read some reviews where people were having issues filling the small/ish bags it came with. We bought 3x50 lbs of play sand, left it in the bags it came in and just arranged them around the pole. Since the umbrella comes with a nifty cover for the base, we dont see the store bags.
Easy peasy.
The umbrella itself seems sturdy enough. We dont get a lot of wind here but well be diligent about taking it down when were not using it regardless.
Overall, for the price were very happy.
We have a covered patio but it feels like youre sitting in an oven when the temperature gets into the 80s and higher.
Currently sitting in the yard under the new umbrella, its well into the 90s and its much more comfortable. Thats all we were after.
Should any issues arise I will update my review.
The umbrella is great, but there is no base! The picture leads one to believe that a base is included, however it is not!!! Very unhappy about that!!!!!
