Bad Instructions.Grab a drink. Will take half the day

Take A day off if you plan on getting this done in a day. Bed is decent quality but if you dont have a degree in engineering it will take some time. Allow 5/7 hours with 2 people. Boxes are very heavy and many of the corners arrived slightly damaged. Very frustrating instructions as the hardware is not labeled well at all. Would not buy this again, and if we move.it stays with the house. Very pleased!

WARNING: BIG TASK 10+ hour assembly time

I bought this bed for my 4 year old son knowing the reviews said it takes a while to put together. I have most of it done and we did have 2 people working on it. We still have the desk, drawers, and doors to install, but the rest took us 10 hours! Im exhausted and sore all over from all the work. Definitely follow the instructions and do box 1, then 2, then 3. This would be more helpful if they used EVERYTHING in box 1 before moving on to the next box. Box 1 includes the pieces for the drawers which arent needed until the last steps of assembly. Box 2 has the door pieces, also not needed until the end of box 3. Some of the reviews I read mentioned building in place because of how heavy and difficult to move the bed is. They failed to mention that assembling the back of the bed was really hard if the bed is in the location you want it, say up against a wall. Im lucky we had just enough room for me to reach my small arm behind and screw in the back screws. I feel like something this big should come at least partially assembled, especially with the company clearly willing to ship in multiple packages. And since they are willing to ship in multiple packages, they could better wrap and care for the pieces inside. Some of the pieces came chipped, bent, warped, or dented. Thankfully none of the damages have interfered with assembly or the overall integrity of the bed. Another thing is that the instructions have almost no words, and that made some of the steps more difficult than necessary. Some of the illustrations are hard to interpret. Multiple views of some of the steps would have been helpful. Also some parts that require screws didnt have pre/drilled holes, and we had to make holes. This was especially hard for the ladder rungs which were Rock solid and a regular screwdriver was stripping the screws that really needed a more square drill bit. Anyway, so I still have some steps to go, and since we live in an apartment and plan on buying a house in the next year or 2, Im going to have to partially disassemble to move out, which is going to be scary and slightly disappointing knowing well have to take it apart AND put it back together. On the bright side, we have 2 more kids who will all get a chance to use the bed when my oldest (4yrs) outgrows it. So it should be worth the price at the end of it all. Key word being should. Some of the reviews mentioned that there was a surprising amount of storage space in the fort area underneath. I have to respectfully disagree. I like that the drawers eliminate the need for a separate dresser, but I was lead to believe that Id have enough room for his toys to go under here. He has enough room for a few toys while he plays, which I think he likes the play space in which he can keep his baby brother out of. Would I buy it again? Youd have to ask me in about 10 years or so when all my kids are older. But at this point, Id probably like to have just waited for a house where we can install shelves as needed for storage instead. Would I recommend? If you have the money, space, time, strength, and energy for it, absolutely go for it. Me, a mother of 2 with a 3rd on the way, who is currently unemployed, probably should have waited for some common sense to kick in before clicking the Buy button. It really is a lovely bed. I just wish it would have come more assembled or that I could have afforded to have someone put it together for me. Thank God for the UPS guy who helped me get the 3 ginormous boxes inside my front door. I just about crushed myself with the tallest one. And I injured my wrist trying to pick up one of the bed slats/platforms (terminology?). Pro Tip: Try to get someone to watch your kids while you assemble the thing. Not best.

Takes time to build/but well worth it!

I know this bed is mainly made for kids but as a 21 year old I couldnt resist not having it! I LOVE this bed. Im 5 feet tall and the desk is the perfect size for me when I sit, the dresser has 4 cabinets and they are very roomy as well as the hanger area next to it. The hideout area is nice too, Ive made it a little relax zone. The bed overall saved me tons of space so now I can do more with the left over space in my bedroom. I WILL SAY/ the packaging did come damaged so it should be handled with more care upon delivery. It also took my 3 roommates about 8 hours total to build so prepare yourself for a long task. A few items were slightly dented but its not anything that was a dealbreaker for me. I am happy with this purchase nonetheless; and it was all worth it which is why I rate 4 stars. would be 5 stars if the items werent damaged and building wasnt as hard. Solid and basic.

Very nice bed with many drawers

I like the fact that the drawers are deep and wide and I can fit lots of clothing in the drawers one thing I disliked was the cross support bar at the head and at the feet I wish it would come with more solid support Smaller than I expected.

    Super cute, functional bed!

This is our daughters (almost 5) first twin size bed. She wanted one medium height, and this is absolutely perfect. She is ECSTATIC and thanked us profusely. We were worried the desk would basically be non/functional. But, the desk drawer has a lid, and when you pull it out all the way, it remains out. So, its actually going to be a very functional desk! There is also a sticky LED light that illuminates the desk. The hidey spot under the bed is perfect. Our 2/year/old and her have had an awesome time under there. Even our 11/year/old thinks its cool. I will agree, this thing, per other reviews, is a HUGE pain to put together. Sometimes the directions are unclear, and in general, it takes a really long time. (We built it over two days.) Its also very HEAVY, so be thoughtful about how you put it together in terms of placement. The main reason for 4 stars: a few of the pieces had damaged corners, these can be seen when put together, unfortunately. It feels like for the cost of the bed, there should be no damaged pieces. (Its not enough to send back, but still annoying.) Overall, we are very happy with our purchase, and our daughter is even happier! Nice well made.

Cute in the end but getting it was pain

First I will start by saying it is absolutely adorable and my two year old LOVES it. She loves flowers and is obsessed with the little flowers at the top. We transformed her room from baby to little girls and she is insanely happy, so naturally, Im also extremely happy. THAT being said. the first half of the bed came on time, early even. No problem, except for the fact that I was missing the second half. I wasnt provided tracking information for the second box, nor did I know about a second box until after box 1 of 2 arrived. UPS driver said that was the only box he had. customer service was exceptionally helpful and figured the whole thing out when and UPS couldnt seem to get their act together. contacted someone else at UPS after I spoke with two different UPS employees. Ultimately I needed to pick up the second box because there was no telling when the box would be delivered to me because of a delivery delay. Thankfully Im just down the road from the customer center so I was able to pick it up myself, which fit in my Nissan Rogue from the absolute edge of the drunk door to the radio unit. It was also way to heavy for me to carry myself. Once I got the box, all of the corners of the box emerge completely smashed and opened. Somehow, and luckily, nothing was damaged. I wish delivery was a bit easier, but we are in unprecedented times so Im just thankful I have it at all at this point. Assembly was not terrible with two people. I looked at the instructions and my husband put the pieces together. It took maybe about two hours or so and wasnt terribly complicated. Put together its absolutely adorable. We had to play musical drawers until they all laid straight. We have just the mattress on top but you could probably use a box spring if you wanted. Overall I dont know that Ill purchase another large furniture piece from , but Im very happy that this all worked out in the end. Pretty sturdy. Good size.
