    Princess bed

Ok so if I had the choice I would give this bed 4.5 stars but since that is not an option I decided to round up and give it the full 5 stars. I will start with the pros, my 7 year old daughter is obsessed with this bed. And I have to admit so am I a little bit. We have a small space to work with and this bed is certainly heafty but it checked all of my boxes which included but was not limited to having a bureau built in, and a desk area. These two were a must have. The bureau, though it is only four draws is quite spacious. We can fit lots of clothes in each draw, they are roomy. The desk has a pull on table that opens on top to include extra storage. Its is comes fully equipped with lights. There is a small closet space that we use for her dress up clothes, and right next to the closet is a secret entry for a full fort underneath that my daughter uses for her baby doll nursery. There are storage shelves for books and other Nick knacks as well as the storage boxes. This bed is truly a little girls dream. Cons: ( the main reason I would take away a half of star) is the ladder! I hate this ladder it is difficult to climb up and hurts the bottom of my feet when I do, however it does not seem to bother either one of my kids so that is why I went ahead and gave it the 5 stars. Maybe its not meant for a 36 year old mom. With that being said my only other con is the assembly. It is lengthy and there were two of us. My husband could of handled this on his own but the extra hands were helpful. If you have help use it. Also and hoping others do no not make the same mistake we made. This bed is heavy and came with lots of pieces. We recieved it in 3 big boxes. Because they were so heavy and we needed to assemble in an upstairs room we opened all the boxes and took all the pieces into the room we were assembling the bed. Huge mistake! The boxes are numbered 1,2,3. Open box number one first and assemble that. Once you finish those instructions you can move to box 2, then 3. This will save you tons of sorting time. We learned this the hard way. But in the end it was worth it. Just as seen in the picture!!!

Plan for an empty room and min 4 hours for setup.

All the parts were there. pieces were all labeled, although hardware could have been labeled much better. On the first page, the parts that go into the lower corner of M M1 are shown going into the wring holes. (you will figure it out when you start to assemble. Be very alert that the hardware bags are all connected together and labeled although extremely difficult to read. Different bags go with each section. this was not clear in the instructions. Be alert some pieces look just like others. Clarity is needed for the back pieces / the finished side goes to the inside and you wont realize this until you get further in the instructions and realize there is an outer piece for the back of the bed and that finished side goes to the outside. Great. Very good. Recommended.

Wonderfully designed bed for my toddler.

This bed is perfect for our 3 year old who has to now share her room with a newborn baby boy. I needed her to have a bed, dresser, and play space without so much furniture in the room. She loves the secret hideout underneath. Shippers damages a few areas and nothing a little putty cant cover up. WARNING, it takes a lot of time and patience to put this thing together! Instructions are pictures only and the bags of screws and hardware are not labeled. They should reference them to a page number and keep them all separated so you know you are using the right ones. Also, make sure you start with box 1 and go in order. Dont jump ahead or you will end up backtracking and taking things apart. This thing is HEAVY. So when you start putting the completed sections together, make sure its close to wear you want it! It took us 3 people and 7 hours to assemble. Also, side note, the desk drawer is a neat design with the extended surface that opens up for storing coloring books and supplies, BUT its hard for them to push the drawer back in once extended, it takes two hands to push in the sliders in both sides of the drawer at the same time to unlock and push back in. A toddlers arms arent long enough to do that alone. Good!!

    Great product

Great stuff. Too much work to assemble however. I did it by myself only although instructions require two people. Simple and does the job.

    Almost perfect.

Very heavy even though it is made of press board. Daughter loves it and it looks great. The draw pulls are way too sharp for a childs bed. She got cut the first day. Had to replace them. Also there are small nail holes on the inside portion of the bed from either shooting the nails in the wrong side. Not a big problem but very noticeable. I would invest in a permeant pair of furniture sliders because being made of press board and being so heavy it is only a matter of time before it breaks when moving out to clean behind or rescue a lost toy. Otherwise very happy with purchase. recommend!
