I was very excited for this product to arrive, and was very disappointed. The screw holes on one side of the front panel of the trundle piece are in the wrong place, so it is impossible to put the pieces together. In addition, a screw for securing the ladder arrived without any thread, making it unusable. Overall, very disappointed. I attempted to contact customer service, but there was no response. I expected better quality.
Firstly, my son is 5 and is very happy with the bunk bed. Its a nice color and seems relatively sturdy. That being said, the drawers are very small. I was hoping to not need an additional dresser since his room is so small, but its a challenge to put all of his clothing away in the drawers. I would definitely say it wont hold the clothing of two children. Also, the pieces are all separate and dont screw together or anything. The entire bottom piece with the three drawers moves around and slides on the floor when you are simply opening or closing the drawers. Ive been asking my husband to just add a screw or something to keep it still so you dont have to pry it out from under the bed every time you use the drawers. Its very annoying. Also, the drawers on the side are wonky. They tend to get crooked or not close correctly. Might need to remove and reinstall the track properly. Lastly, dont assume an adult will be able to sit comfortably on the bottom bunk. My intention was to be able to read bedtime stories on the bottom bunk together but its so short you need to sit on your mid back to fit in there. Its fine for a kid. But still very short. My son has hit his head on the slats several times. The QA section has a lot of people saying the slats are rods but we received super cheap wooden slats that are rough and jagged, and exposed to the bottom bunk, leading to splinters and hair being caught on it repeatedly. If the company sends me these supposedly sturdier slats Id be thrilled. I bought a slats cover but havent added it yet to say if it fits or helps. The loosely fitting together pieces and rough wood in the sleeping area are my biggest issues with the bed. Like most people, Im thoroughly weary of poorly thought out and cut corners in the name of affordability.
This is a really nice bed. We looked for about a month at different beds before we decided on this one. Itd beautiful color and very sturdy. Stairs on the bed were a must because we have a toddler and I didnt want him to get hurt climbing a ladder. Weve had to make some modifications to make it work better for us, like adding a door to the stairs. The storage it offers with the drawers is great because we have very limited space and it meant we didnt need a second dresser. Probably wouldnt be a great amount of storage as he gets older and his clothes get bigger, but for now it fits all 3T his clothes. It did take us about 3 or 4 hours to put it together. Im sure you could do it faster, but I would plan for at least 2 hours. The instructions had some missing information, but we did figure it out. It was pricey, but honestly I think it was worth the price in terms of quality, it will last my boys for years and years. Easy setup and sturdy!
We bought this bed for our children from a different site. Wish we had gotten it from here. But the bed is aming. Very well made, beautiful color and storage!! My kids love it. Worth the money.
Very sturdy bunk bed. There was an issue with identifying bunk configuration. I had to reach out to them to figure out one of the posts needed to be turned around for proper layout of the bottom bunk. Because the post wasnt in the proper position, it appeared the slats and/or frame wasnt straight, causing the slats and mattress to not fit. Very good communication with the seller. Thanks so much! Shipping was very short. I was supposed to schedule a delivery date with Saia but they never called me back and just scheduled a delivery without notification. Part of the order was damaged during delivery but Scott with Dreamscape was extremely helpful and willing to help me out in whatever way was best for me. The bunk bed itself is really nice and all the storage space is great!
We are extremely happy with this set. It is exactly as described with all real wood construction and lovely gliding drawer hardware. I do wish the drawer assembly was pre/drilled to attach to the bed frame. It just slides under with no way to attach it, so the whole piece moves around when you use the drawers. We are thinking about ways to remedy this. Definitely measure your space before purchasing. I never dreamed the length was a concern. I was only worried about that height because we have a low ceiling. The height is fine, but we only had four inches to spare on the length when I had expected to be able to access three sides for bed making. All in all its a wonderful piece and I will definitely recommend it to anyone looking.
