    Easy to assemble.

I bought the twin bed size metal bed frame for a small travel trailer. It was very easy to assemble. All parts fit perfectly into place. I had it fully assembled in about 15 minutes. Its now in my trailer with a mattress on top and ready to go.

    Great Frame

It actually takes longer to open the box, unwrap from the packing than it does to put it together with the rubber mallet that is supplied.

    GREAT DESIGN / GREAT VALUE

This is a great bed frame. Why you ask? First off, the design is great, for many reasons. Never mind that the bed looks great, it is much more than a pretty face. The choice to use rectangular shaped tubing oriented correctly makes it inherently strong. Further, the method selected to fasten all the pieces together is such that once assembled, makes it sturdy. Yes, I will say that a heavy handed person can crush the rectangular tubing if the fasteners are tightened waaay too much but the fact is, the method chosen to hold the pieces together does not benefit from being over tightened. Another reason the design is great: the foot end of the frame is not higher than the mattress so it allows a person to sit down at the end of the bed, yet the rectangular tubing is accessible enough to grab hold of when you want to move the bed away from the wall to tuck in sheets while making up the bed. The head of the bed is of course tall enough to also grab to move the bed away from the wall while making up the bed. Another reason the design is great: The side rails are taller than the rails that support the mattress. This is important because it keeps the mattress from creeping off the frame and also more importantly (IMO), it allows you to tuck the bottom bed sheet under the mattress when making up the bed. While on the subject of the mattress support rails, I will say that the number of mattress support rails is on the verge of over-kill (good) when compared to other bed frames. Most bed frames use flat wood slats to support the mattress which is weak. This frame uses rectangular tubing oriented vertically to support the mattress. The rectangular mattress supports have plastic capped ends to prevent squeaking (I agree it works) but another commenter complained that it squeaked when having sex. My response to that would be: What bed doesn’t make noise when having sex?.... and if you ain’t making noise, you ain’t having good sex! (LOL!) Another reason the design is great: the height of the frame off the floor is just right-not too high, not too low. Another reason the design is great: The choice of the fasteners are flat head hex socket machine screws with rounded acorn style nuts. This small detail prevents the bed sheets/blankets/comforters from snagging on the end of the screws. The bottom line is the that the design of the frame meets the requirement of supporting a mattress very well. Let’s now cover the quality of manufacture. The frame comes in a rather small box and you may think-how can something this small morph into a bed frame? A strong bed frame? The reasons why it is strong are explained above but when talking about manufacturing, packaging is part of it. I did not measure it but from memory the box was maybe 8x8x36. Things are packed tightly inside with a minimum amount of cushioning. If the box had been dropped on end it would have spelled disaster but it was delivered without a mark on it by my mail lady. Upon opening, all the acorn nuts fell out because the package they were in had torn somehow. The good news is that all fasteners (there was many) were all accounted for and they even give you one extra fastener of each style. The rectangular tubing is thin but strong and were all cut extremely square with absolutely no burrs at all. This is just one of the reasons why the assembled frame does not tend to wiggle. All holes in the tubing were punched accurately, cleanly, without burrs or flaring which would have prevented the easy assembly. There were many metal tabs welded onto the tubing which incorporated threads for the fasteners. All the welds were good. They were full welds, not just tack welds. All the threads on all the tabs were great except one which had a little too much paint in it causing a slightly tighter fit of the fastener. Really no big deal but this is a review, right? The paintwork on all the parts was excellent. It is a slightly textured matte black finish that I suspect was powder coat. No missed areas, perfectly done. I discovered one small scratch out of all the pieces which honestly was amazing since there was a minimum of package cushioning used. All the tubing were in individual plastic bags but similar pieces (multiples of the mattress supports) were nested together and then placed in one bag. The plastic caps used on the end of the rectangular tubing were all factory installed cleanly with no “wild hairs needing to be trimmed off. All the fasteners were sorted into similar types and bagged individually into a strip of plastic packaging material. Most parts were marked with little sticky labels (a, b, c, etc.) but some fell off during handling. If you are mechanically challenged, you might, might, might have an issue with that but really…. the instructions are very good (I did not use them but my wife read them to me as I put things together). I had looked carefully at the frame in the pictures on while comparing different bed frames so I already knew how to put things together. I am not mechanically challenged but I really don’t understand some of the commenters that say this thing is hard to put together. I can only suspect that the people experiencing problems are mechanically challenged and are purchasers who tighten up each fastener as they go along while following the instructions. To avoid these frustrations, loosely install all fasteners into their respective places before final tightening. This will prevent slight miss-alignments. The instructions are really good (I looked at them for the review). All the fasteners and pieces are pictured, showing their respective alphabet markings and the amount of pieces of that type included. So there you have it. A sturdy, nice looking frame and a great value at the $114.00 price I paid. Highly recommended.

    Very pleased with this purchase.

Arrived on time. Box looked a little ragged but contents were in tact, and no damage. Took me about 45 minutes to assemble. The only help I had was two sets of curios, four legged eyes. Instructions were basic. Everything was labeled. Hardware kit included the necessary Allen wrench. I have an extensive mechanical background, assembly was easy. Novices may take a little longer, but they will figure it out quickly. Frame is sturdy. I would recommend after a few weeks of use, to check, and retighten fasteners. Slots provided on one end to mount a headboard. So far i am satisfied with what I got and what I paid for it.
