I ordered two of these -- one for either side of my fireplace. The look is gorgeous and it matches our television console almost exactly. The wood is solid and the color, although a bit darker than it seems in the picture, is rich and warm.
Im one of those crazy people who loves assembling furniture, but this cabinet tried my patience. Everything went together pretty nicely except for the doors. On the first cabinet, I figured out that the pre-drilled holes benefited from a little extra drilling on my part. On the second cabinet, though, I discovered that A) they had sent me two left doors (easily remedied as theyre basically identical, but I did have to mark and drill my own holes for placement of the magnet strip for the door latch) and B) the hinge holes were off by about a sixteenth of an inch, which made the doors not close or line up. If it were a bigger difference, it would have been easier to redrill new holes in proper place, but since it was so close, it requires filling current holes with wood filler, waiting for it to dry, and redrilling new holes. UG. Not fun. Im still giving these four stars, though, because despite the horrible snafus with the doors (I apologize to my family and pets for all the frustrated grumbling), the final outcome is nice looking furniture that isnt made of MDF.
This is a solid piece of furniture. It is really meant for smaller contents such as DVDs or blu rays. Were using it to house a blu ray player, DirecTV box, and an Apple TV. Unfortunately the inside of the cabinet is only about 9.5 deep, so I will have to keep the cabinet away from the wall to house the 10.5 deep DirecTV box. Also, the cabinet has a center board that runs vertically that splits the width of any inside shelving. Essentially you only have 12 to work with. I omitted putting the center board in, and Im going to stain a board to run horizontally to house said devices. These may seem like criticisms, but these factors werent in the description. One thing I noticed in the reviews was that this piece was really hard to put together. Ignore those reviews...this thing was put together in 30 minutes. I just had to have my wife hold the doors to line up the pilot holes...everything else can be done by one person. That being said, this is a solid piece for the price, even if I have to do a little customization.

The directions leave out one very important detail...there is one and ONLY one way that each piece can be attached for this cabinet to go together correctly. The instructions, even though they give you the basics, fall a little short in that regard. There was considerable trial and error in the assembly - I would get piece together and then the next pieces alignment would be off so I would have to disassemble and reassemble to get the correct orientation. Word to the wise - think each piece through as you attach them and be prepared to change things around. Also, where the back panels are attached had no screw holes, so you might have to use a drill to help you with this. The cabinet is sturdy and looks great - now that it is assembled.
This item met my expectation and is perfect for the space I chose. The only issue was that there were no pre-drilled holes to attach the back panel as the instructions stated. I was, however, still able to attach the back panel making my own holes.
Well designed, great directions and fairly easy to put together. One part came with a split in the wood and was immediately replaced by the company. Excellent customer service.
