I dislike the hinges and the lack of a lid stop brackett/chain. The lid opens all the way back and stresses the hinges and has caused a crack in the mounting point. Works well against a wall where the lid will rest against wall. We use it for tooth brushes and bathroom items. Low profile storage that keeps personal items out of view of guests.
Im 8 months in with this product. This was exactly what I was looking for. More than sturdy enough to stand and sit on (Im big and fat). And fits all the shoes I wear regularly (4/6 pairs). perfect.

I bought this to use for towel storage in my bathroom. Although it is a shoe rack, it seems like the shelves are a little bit higher than the norm. I didnt measure, but it just looks that way and it fit my heavy/weight bath towels just fine. Easy build,
