Not sure what's all the drama about .... this queen size bed frame is made of solid wood and assembled into a sturdy (bed) platform. No box spring needed hence one less big item to move. It's easy to assemble and it can be disassembled on future moving day. It's a no nonsense bed frame that looks great and affordable.
Update: I saw some photo of broken frames from other reviewers so I decided to glue in an inexpensive 1/2 x 4 x 60 pine boards to the underside of the frame to reinforce the frame. The mod costs around $10 and I will upload the pix soon ....
I got the bed in the Full size, glad I didn't opt for the Queen. Fits perfect in my apt., I got the Pine, just gorgeous! The mattress if your interested is a Full from Value City furniture, the Dream mattress, its a firm so I really don't need a box spring at all. You can use one I'm sure and that would be a pretty high bed because mine is a pretty nice height from the floor with just my top mattress so it is not a low to the ground frame, its perfect! This bed is sturdy, strong, comfortable boards and no metal across just boards exactly what I wanted! Not one problem since I got it had it 2 months. I do have carpet so I have had no shifting or moving issues. My 26 yr. Old daughter put it up for me less than an hour! So it is not hard to assemble. If you're debating the size, it's a nice Full size, true to mattress size. Get it!
I got a gift card from work and ended up buying this bed frame - super good build quality and exactly what I wanted in a platform style bed. Low enough clearance under the bed where I can store some things but not so high off the ground where its showing my business under there. I went with the lighter colour and its a nice calm tan/honey colour on it! Feels sturdy and safe!
Solid wood. Great construction. Packaging foam wrapped in plastic so it doesnt get all over your home. Comes with a ratchet tool instead of just a simple hex wrench like most products provide. Even the instructions are great quality with large pictures and a utube video. Very Pleased!
This bedframe went above my expectations. I put it together myself in under an hour, and it was strudy right from the getgo. It's been a few months now, and I have no complaints. Very happy with this purchase.
We ordered this bed frame and were impressed with the quality and look of the solid wood, especially for the price. So, we ordered another one. This second one is not the same solid wood, but is rather many small pieces of wood glued together, so you lose the solid wood look and sturdiness. It is also stained a darker (and imo, uglier) color than the first (see photo). Were returning this second one. 5 stars for the first one, and 1 for the second, so Im calling it 3.
