Only problem was the wood on the inner piece came completely cracked, other than that its a wonderful bed.. very heavy BUT STURDY! Great for kiddos sharing a room!
This XL Twin is for a 13 year old boy. Hes on the taller side so better to have the extra length for comfort. Wasnt too difficult to assemble with two people; took about an hour. Looks pretty good and he likes it!
The bed is exactly how it was described. I opted for the service provider to assemble the bed because I dont have rime or patience to do it myself. It was assembled within a little over an hour. The only thing I noted about the bed is the bottom shelf of the headboard sits at the same level as the mattress we have(8 inch mattress). The drawers under the bed are interchangeable to side and are not connected to the bed in a rail system. The drawers are on low wheels that fit under the bed. No issues with it at all. Other than that I highly recommend the bed!
We received our kit and my husband was able to put it together fairly quickly. Its a nice looking bed and fairly solid. I had purchased 2 10inch mattresses for this trundle set up. I would recommend getting the smaller mattresses. 10 inches is definitely too thick for the trundle. It will not pull out or push in with ease with that size mattress. Thankfully we do not need the bed, it is just a back up. Thought I would share what I learned in an effort to help others who may also be thinking thicker os better.
They delivered in on a pallet on-time, and called before they arrived. The delivery guys rolled the pallet into the garage, undamaged. The toughest thing was hauling all the boxes upstairs to our daughters bedroom - there are a lot of them, and theyre heavy.
Assembly took quite a while but it was pretty easy - probably a three hour job. Would be much quicker with 2 people I think.
The bed is really nice - its real wood, so it isnt some chip wood POS that will break in a year or two.
The trundle is really nice, with solid pieces. We have had the bed for about 3 month now and we dont have any complaints.
First off- super cute bed and sturdy. Love that it comes with option to change leg height. I have a nice foam mattress on it without a box spring and it does not sink. Gave it 4 stars cuz it came with sharp stuff, like it wasnt sanded properly on the front of the headboard.

Difficult to put it together
The bed is beautiful, but very difficult to put together. we took several hours to put it together because the instructions is useless !!!
Not good quality
Opened the first box and there was a large crack across it- returned it
