The instructions are just a bunch of diagrams with really small details. So hopefully youre a visual person. As for the bed itself, I wish the support slats were a tad sturdier. It felt okay with my weight (140lbs) on the top bunk after assembled, but if pressure is centralized into one area (I.e, child standing or jumping) the pieces of wood bow pretty easily. Going to keep an eye on that. Other than that the bed went together perfectly and it looks amazing. Oh , be careful or youre going to end up with splinters. The wood is pretty rough on some of sections of unfinished wood.
We bought this for our 4-year-olds big boy bed.
PROS:
- Great color. This is reminiscent of items that we looked at from Crate Kids or Pottery Barn Kids. The navy color is consistent throughout and looks sharp in a kids room.
- The trundle does not have extra hardware for the drawer, so there is less to assemble (see CONS for additional note about the trundle)
- The bed is very sturdy and the pieces fit together well. If you are familiar with assembling furniture, youll be able to handle this (note: I do think directions are more straightforward, but Im also used to them)
- The price. The price on this was much, much better than what we saw elsewhere for similar items. Free shipping was also much appreciated.
CONS:
- The unfinished wood slats that support the main bed are visible after the bed is assembled. This is a minor complaint, but the design would be better if there was more a lip on the side of the bed. My daughter has a PBK twin bed with a similar slat support system (rather than a box spring) and there is a small lip on the top of the side support beam that hides the slats.
- The trundle can be hard to put back in place because it does not have hardware to guide it (such as a track). This is minor, but worth noting.
Overall, the CONS listed above are minor and should not discourage you from jumping on this great value for your kids room. We are VERY happy with this bed.
Easy to put together. Nice set. I like how there is a 3rd bed option for storing under bed, it also prevents kids from storing toys under it
Overall it is a nice bed. It creaks but I expected that.
I was worried that this would take forever to put together, but it wasnt bad at all. The instructions were really clear and easy to follow. Its easier with two people, but one person could manage it.

Great Bed for Any Age!
Fits super well for a 19 yr-old who is frequently returning from college, and shares a room with his brother! Sturdy and comfortable.
