This umbrella is very substantial. I love the easy handle mechanism for adjusting the angle of the umbrella. The fabric is gorgeous. It was easy to assemble and easy for two people to put the sections together. I bought the weights recommended and filled them with sand and it seems to hold the umbrella just fine.
Ive had the umbrella for a week now. Its very sturdy and holds up on windy days. The metal frames feel like theyre made of quality material. Out of the 2 patio umbrellas I purchased this summer, I felt this one was the best.
The umbrella shipped out super fast and arrived in perfect condition. Very few parts so took very little time to assemble. Most importantly the quality of this umbrella is better than I have seen at warehouse stores. I think this one is going to last a long time. Getting a lot more value for my money compared to other brands!
Had my hubby order this for our patio and its BIG! It seems to be well made and sturdy. Its definitely not flimsy looking. Covers our area nicely. Its been windy here, but it doesnt seem to swing out of control like another we had years ago that broke within 2 weeks of purchasing. Thats why I was hesitant to buy another cantilever type umbrella. Its a steep price, but worth it. So far were enjoying it. Now I just need some lights for it and well be set.
Umbrella wont stand up on its own. When you open the umbrella the base is not strong enough to hold it up, it falls over. What kind of umbrella cant support itself when open.
The package and contents were well wrapped, so there was no worry about damaged goods. After opening, we found the assembly instructions very easy to follow. After moving it to our pool location, we had it put together in a few minutes. All the tools needed to assemble were included.
We started to open it, but found that the optional base is definitely a must have, to open it. We filled the base with water, then opened the umbrella. It is very easy to operate with the 2 crank handles (one to open one to rotate) and the lever handle to lift or lower the umbrella.
We did find that it took two of us to lift the umbrella onto its base.
