I was moving my boys from their cribs into a big bed and wanted something not too expensive (since I had to get 2) but something that still looked nice and was not too high off the ground. Despite some negative reviews, I decided to purchase this bed (x2). It came in quickly, there was some damage to one of the boxes when it arrived but it was double boxed and everything was intact with no damage. All the parts were there and were clearly marked. The instructions were very simple and it was easy to assemble, it only took about 30 minutes once out of the box. The twin does not have a center support but the bed seems sturdy enough (time will tell). I decided to go with the 10 hybrid mattress in a box which worked great with the beds. We decided to put the 2 beds together to make 1 big bed (per request) and it works great. Because the bed is a platform bed, the mattress sits on top of the slats and does not create a gap between mattresses when beds are pushed together. The color is rich dark brown and looks great. I found a cube storage that matches the color of the bed perfectly (almost looks like a set). Overall very satisfied with the purchase.
This bed is awesome. So easy to set up its ridiculous! I dont know why people complain of it sliding there are sticky things on the slats to help with that. You can also just buy a non slip pad to go underneath if needed. Its very space saving Im definitely going to buy another one.
For the money it is great. Remember, this is a sub $200 bed. You won't be getting quality that a $1K bed will have. It is solid wood, very easy to assemble, and packaged nicely in shipping box. For added strength, I added a beam in the middle hanging by hangers. I did this so I could use the space under the bed instead of support legs. I doubled up the ends then hanged the beam from there with felt pads on top to prevent squeaky noises. I did this to a twin....I would have doubled up the beam and added support legs in the middle on the ends if it was queen. Will attach photos.
Absolutely would purchase this again if needed for another room. We bought this for my 15 year old. Very sturdy, comfortable, nice looking bed.
