First and most important, the assembly instructions suck. I am pretty a good handyman type also with a Masters degree, so it isnt me. The four corner legs have a centered screw in bolt stud that someone decided they would paint black. Trying to get these screwed in will be good exercise for you. You will have forearms the size of the cartoon character, Popeye, after you are finished in a few days! The aforementioned bolt studs are metric 10mm x 1.5 thread. I decided to bypass the long term twisting and untwisting exercise and drill out the 10mm threaded holes in the bed frame with a 7/16 bit. I then bought (4) 10mm x 1.5 nuts at Lowes as well as (4) 7/16 split lock washers. Drop each leg bolt/stud through the newly drilled out hole and attached the lock washer and 10mm nuts bought from Lowes. Tighten with an adjustable wrench (unless you have a 10 mm open end lying around). That works very well, and will save you a lot of WORK..... I could be wrong about one thing. I assumed the reason the bolts studs would not thread into the pre/threaded holes as intended was due to the bolt studs being painted black. It could also be that the manufacturer cut the wrong thread into the bed frame plate that receives the bolt/stud. In the end, It doesnt really matter. Either way, my fix that I outline above will settle it.... Also, good luck on figuring out how to attach the (2) electrical boxes. I think I have decided to just use some zip ties since I happen to have some.... This is probably a fine product with really lousy assembly instructions and conditions that have not been thought through. I will let you know when I get done. In the meantime, I have a pair of really great looking forearms now! (EDIT) Now that I employed the above fix and I have used it for more than a week, this adjustable bed frame is nice!
Very easy to set up, adjustable motors are quiet. The mechanics and wires are underneath the bed, nothing hanging perfect for my dog that likes to sleep under the bed. The only issue I have is with the remote most of it is not working. Want to turn on the massager you cant turn it off it has to go off on its own. Not good if you make a mistake in the middle of the night lol
Easy to assemble, looks good, not loud smooth operation. Performs just fine and is half the price of the name brand ones that have less functions. Having said that, those functions were pretty gratuitous to me and I wouldnt buy the bed based on having those, but rather just the fact that it is cheaper than the name brand ones for what they are.
For instance, the Serta remote just has head and foot up/down buttons / this one has a bunch of presets. However, I didnt find the presets useful, and in fact they didnt always seem to go to the same level (when the bed was in a lounge position and I put it to TV position it seemed to not go up a whole lot and I ended up putting it higher manually, but when it was totally flat and I went to TV position it went way too high and I had to lower it.). TV position isnt really where I want it for TV, and lounge/zero/g positions are practically the same thing and not much better than flat.
The USBs are perhaps a good idea, but they are only on one side and like other reviewers, I found this to be the side that wasnt beneficial to have them on. Plus when I put the bed in between the frame that I already had, it sat too low even with the longest legs such that the USB ports were covered by the frame making it impossible to plug anything in. I turned on the massage feature one time and thought wow this thing is loud and doesnt seem to do much. There are two pads (center of the head area and center of the foot area) that vibrate violently, but to me this does not make for much of a massage and its not right under you unless one person sits right in the middle of the whole bed / but again the name brand beds dont even have this feature save for the super top of the line models.
A few issues initially. One of the legs was super hard to install because the threaded hole was crooked and the bold wanted to cross thread so it took me twenty minutes of persuasion to get it to work. The face plate for the USB ports was broken presumably in shipping, but I didnt care too much because like I said the ports arent useful and are covered anyway. Also previously mentioned, the presets dont seem to work quite right. These are the reasons it is not five stars.
I would still buy again and recommend to others because lets be real here, you arent going to constantly be adjusting it or using all the features / that gets old super quick. We havent touched the setting in at least a month. But for what it is it is great. It doesnt drift down or anything where you have to preposition it over time and the base doesnt move out of place or anything like that, it just works / and it costs half as much as its competitors. So dont buy it for the USB ports or the presets, or the massage feature. Buy it because its exactly what youre in the market for and nothing more / and adjustable bed that is reasonably priced.
This has been the best decision I have made in a long time. This adjustable bed works great and no one can beat the price. It is so quiet when raising up and down. Does not disturb the normally nervous cats. Lol. I would suggest to anyone look at this adjustable bed before going and spending thousands on others. It was super easy to set up. I had it together in about 20 min. I would suggest getting someone to help with the setup as it can be quite heavy when put together.
If you are ordering who are these for a king size application the USB only comes on one side on both beds the factory can I make a left and right there low/tech so if this is the reason youre ordering it you will be disappointed that the bed is perfect
SO easy to put together. Took less than 30 minutes. The vibrating function is kind of odd. I didnt like it but my mom does. It is nice that you can set a preset on the remote so she can quickly go to the position she sleeps in after watching TV. This bed is greatly contributing to her health in aiding with her swelling legs and issues with breathing at night. She sleeps much better and is much more comfortable.
I read a lot of reviews before ordering and many said if you are unsure, dont be. So I ordered it and was impressed at how quickly I got it. Many reviews are right, its a heavy and awkward box to move around / make sure you have enough room to assemble it.
It went together quick and easy, but then I hit my first snag / only worked once and then never again. I managed to call customer support on the next business day and they were kind enough to send out a replacement controller on overnight.
Long story short / everything works now and Im very impressed so far. Quite, quick and easy. I agree with comments that the remote could be vastly improved as its almost impossible to see in the dark. That being said, Im quite happy at this point.
I bought this because it is adjustable. It worked for about 3 days and then none of the mechanisms worked. sent me a new controller and it worked for raising the head and foot two times and now it has quit working again. I have called again and have not gotten a call back from their technician. The headaches are not worth it, and I still dont know if I will get a bed that works in the end.
I now have a bed that works. There was an issue with the controller and that has now been resolved

Box is heavy and awkward, but customer service was quick and very helpful / if you are hesitating, dont.

Works great and was super easy to set up. Much cheaper than any adjustable frame I was able to find in any local store.
