Excellent service. One piece was damaged. A phone call and the piece was on its way and arrived just when they promised! Assembly was a challenge for a single elderly female, but, pieces fit together nicely and I have a very sturdy daybed!
The bed is a sturdy, attractive piece that looks just like the picture. I assembled it myself and there was one step that would have been easier with someone else to help, but I used the suggestion of another reviewer and held the back section in place with rubber bands (bungee cord would work too) until I could get everything put together. Take a few minutes to look at the directions before you start. Follow them exactly and you won't have any problems. I estimate it took me three hours from unpacking the pieces to cleaning up the boxes. It looks beautiful in my sitting room and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a daybed.
It makes a nice bit of furniture, but it is a bugger to put together. The hardest part and most time consuming is getting the bolts to line up with the round
drop-in nuts. There is no way to hold the round nuts that drop or slide into holes in the wood frame so you can align the bolts to screw into them. After much bad language on my part my genius wife went to the kitchen and returned with a chopstick to place through the bolt hole and nut to align the nut with the hole the bolt goes through. Then with more bad language the bolt would finally screw into the nut after the chop stick was carefully removed. Be sure to remove the saw dust from all the pre-drilled nut holes BEFORE inserting the round nut. When it is finally put together it is a quality piece of furniture.
I bought two of these for my vacation home in Florida. We needed to make sure we could fit a trundle underneath. Everything fits perfectly. These were fairly easy to put together. The small wood slats need an additional person to assist you holding top and bottom together but I put two beds together in an hour. Very straight forward instructions and once built seemed sturdy. My 200 lbs husband laid down on one and it wasn't wiggly at all.
Good value.
Its solid wood - not a hardwood, but with decent cuts and finish. The hardware provided is sturdy enough, the screws are ferrous but the pins / brackets are not. The slats are secured with screws unlike other beds that use flexible plastic pieces that tear if theyre removed. The instructions were simple to follow. The packaging placed the slats on the outside, thus properly cushioning the nicer parts from shipping box tears and bumps (I had one, no real damage).
One negative - the pieces are labeled with convenience store style price labels, which are a nightmare to remove. I tried the edge of a credit card, with adhesive left behind. I tried a hairdryer (pictured) but even peeling with my fingernail compressed the wood a bit and the paper disintegrated. I tried using alcohol pads to wipe away the adhesive, but that started affecting the finish. Finally, I scraped off with a credit card and pecked at the adhesive with packing tape until it came off. Easily added 15 mins to the assembly, and I gave up on the labels that would be hidden by the mattress. Hope this gets back to the manufacturer - Id rather have no labels than these time suckers.
All in all, Id recommend this for its primary purpose - a guest bed that needs to look decent but not be too expensive.

Good product
I heard a slat crack. But it hasnt collapsed
Good product!!
Went together easy even though instructions were vague. Use a power screwdriver with hex but it saves time.

A quality piece of furniture but 4 stars because of assembly trouble.
